„Drei Meisterstücke“ der altjapanischen Dichtung: Yakamochi als Schriftzeichenbeobachter und seine Bezüge auf die chinesische Literatur

Abstract

Since their discovery in the early 20th century, the three poems closing Man’yōshū Book 19 have been considered Ōtomo no Yakamochi’s best-known poetry. The last poem is annotated in a way that provides insight into his poetics. However, commentaries rarely take the original writing into account, even though close reading of the original text can give answers to several questions, such as influence and textual coherence. This article examines the use of Chinese characters and discusses possible references to Chinese literature.
