Despite progress in dialysis treatment quality, the mortality rate for dialysis patients has not decreased during the past years. Vitamin D deficiency is frequently observed in dialysis patients and is associated with increased mortality. This work aimed to evaluate whether the combination of clinical parameters and laboratory parameters could provide predictive powers for mortality in dialysis patients in order to develop a good risk stratification model.
