Abstract: Ein weltweites Sommergerstesorten Kollection (n=224) Beitritte wurde, im Hinblick auf die Merkmale Blühzeitpunkt, Pflanzenhöhe, Tausendkorngewicht, Stärkegehalt und Rohproteingehalt untersucht.
The association mapping panel of 224 worldwide spring barleys was used for genome wide association studies (GWAS). The traits heading date, plant height, thousand grain weight, starch content and crude protein content were investigated. The panel was genotyped with SNP marker assay which yielded 918 SNPs. Mixed linear model with kinship, performed best in this panel. The significant associations detected were grouped into 57 novel QTL and 50 QTL that are congruent with previously mapped QTL. Consequently, the current spring barley panel was genotyped using iSelect assay and GWAS with these SNPs revealed more significant associations. We investigated large collection of barley landraces for diversity to establish landrace association mapping population. The landraces were evaluated with 45 SSR markers to assess the genetic diversity. A total 372 alleles were detected in the landraces. The landraces were differentiated into subgroups based on row type and their geographical origins.
