Abstract: Di-Block-Co-Polymere wurden synthetisiert bestehend aus Styrol-stat-Butadien- (SBR) und Butadien- (PBD) Blöcken.
Diblock copolymers combining a styrene-stat-butadiene (SBR) block with a butadiene (PB) block were synthesized. A novel anionic copolymerization synthesis route has been developed so as to maintain low 1,2-vinyl contents in both blocks and a random distribution of the styrene units in the SBR block. Four series of samples with different volume fractions, styrene contents in the random SBR block or 1,2-vinyl contents in the PB and/or SBR block were synthesized. Structure and softening behavior of the non-crosslinked PB-SBR diblock copolymers was investigated by small angle X-ray scattering and differential scanning calorimetry, respectively. Thereafter, all diblock copolymers were processed following standard procedures and crosslinked with sulfur at 150°C. The influence of segregation strength, volume fraction of both blocks and processing conditions on the microphase separated state, morphology and miscibility was studied by atomic force microscopy for crosslinked PB-SBR diblocks.
