Abstract: MARSTALLER, R.: The bryophyte communities of the slate mining territory „Ausdauer“ near Probstzella, district Saalfeld-Rudolstadt. 93th contribution to the bryophyte vegetation of Thuringia. – Hercynia N.F. 35 (2002): 235-251.In the slate mining territory “Ausdauer”, situated in the Thuringian Slate-mountains (Germany) the vegetation and flora of bryophytes have been recorded. Especially characteristic for the slate dumps are the acidophytic associations Racomitrio Polytrichetum piliferi, Racomitrietum elongati, Cladonio- Campylopodetum introflexi, Polytrichetum juniperini and Racomitrietum lanuginosi, the basiphytic association Tortelletum inclinatae and the indifferent Hypnum cupressiforme-community. All these and other rare communities are represented by numerous records in 9 tables. 20 bryophyte communities and 150 bryophyte species have been found.
