These can be imported for analysis purposes into Software such as Excel, MSAccess, SPSS, etc. The documentation files provide information about the structure and methodologies employed to carry out the study. Data Curation Procedures ======================== Research data sets acquired for our Share_it Repositorium undergo a comprehensive review prior to publishing and release. This ensures that data, documentation and metadata are available in the highest standard possible to ensure the data can be reused by others and to ease its archival preservation process. The curation procedures undertaken will depend on the individual nature of each dataset. In general, the following tasks are undertaken: . Data are documentation files sent are checked for consistency and accuracy . Variable and value labels are checked . If necessary, multiple data and documentation formats may be generated for dissemination and preservation purposes . Metadata is generated for the dataset and a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) assigned. . A review for possible data protection, confidentiality issues or legal conflicts is undertaken and if problems are identified these are resolved in consultation with the data depositor.
