19th International Doctoral Students Workshop on Logistics, Supply Chain and Production Management

Abstract

These conference proceedings contain the contributions from the 19th International Doctoral Students Workshop on Logistics, Supply Chain and Production Management (IDWL), held on 16 June 2026 at the Otto von Guericke University, Magdeburg, Germany. IDWL is an annual international workshop that brings together doctoral students, researchers, and experts from the fields of logistics, supply chain, and production management. The workshop provides an excellent platform for doctoral students and researchers to present their work, exchange ideas, and engage in academic discussions with peers and experienced scholars from around the world. The papers included in these proceedings reflect the diversity and interdisciplinary nature of current research in logistics, supply chain, and production management. The contributions cover four main thematic areas: (1) production processes and supply chain operations, (2) integrated digital technologies and production practices, (3) advanced automation and artificial intelligence, and (4) circular economy and sustainability in supply chains. The research presented in this volume demonstrates innovative thinking and practical relevance in addressing both currect and emerging challenges faced by industry and society. The contributions offer valuable insights, methodological advances, and novel approaches that support both further academic research and real-world applications.
