The chain architecture of polymeric materials, determined by branching and defects, plays an important role regarding their properties. It influences crystallization, which is a characteristic property of many polymers. The main issue of this thesis is the study of polyethylene glycol elastomers in terms of their topology and crystallization behavior. Elastomers were synthesized in the department of chemistry using click reaction, which introduces chemical defects into the polymer chain. The central issues were the influence of the point defects and chain crosslinking on the formation of the crystalline phase, the arrangement of chains in the lamellae, and on the intracrystalline chain dynamics and melting. The investigations were performed by NMR as well as complementary methods from the field of X-ray scattering and DSC.
