In ihrer Darstellung über die Walser-Bubis-Kontroverse ordnet Friederike Dietzel die Motivation des prominenten Schriftstellers für seinen Angriff auf die bisherige Praxis der Holocaust-Rezeption in den öffentlichen Schuld-Diskurs der Bundesrepublik ein. Weniger der Inhalt der Auseinandersetzung als ihre Form reflektieren die nachhaltige, generationsspezifische Verunsicherung in dieser Frage.

In her account of the Walser-Bubis controversy, Friederike Dietzel places the prominent writer's motivation for his attack on the previous practice of Holocaust reception in the public guilt discourse of the Federal Republic of Germany.
