F. 45 (2012): 51 – 80.From the limestone district Fahner Höhe, situated in the central part of Thuringia (Germany), the bryophytecommunities were recorded. Important alliances for this district are communities of the Grimmiontergestinae, Neckerion complanatae, Fissidention taxifolii, Dicranellion heteromallae, Dicrano-Hypnionfiliformis, Ulotion crispae, Syntrichion laevipilae, Nowellion curvifoliae, Bryo-Brachythecion rutabuliand Brachythecion rivularis. 35 associations and communities are represented by numerous relevés in19 tables. Lists of bryophyte species of the nature reserves and a bryogeographic discussion of somecharacteristic bryophyte species and communities are given.Key words: Bryophytes, phytosociology, habitat conditions, flora, nature reserve, Thuringia.
