| Abstract: | Research on innovation has shifted its focus from the Schumpeterian type of entrepreneurial innovations towards a new understanding of innovation as a result of interactive processes between different actors embedded in a specific social, political, and economic environment. Consequently, innovation has not only become a more important topic in the context of the market and the firm, but also in the context of regional growth and development. |
