The present thesis concerns the synthesis and structural characterization of organotin, particularly triphenyltin substituted oxo anions. Preparation of the target substances can be achieved by the reaction of organotin units with oxo anions or oxo acides. Furthermore it is possible to deprotonate the OH group of organotinhydroxides by using silylamides or alkoxides. The investigated compounds can be divided into three groups: 1. Organotin substituted oxo anions with monomeric structures Monomeric substances of the type M(OSnPh3)x (M = As, Ti) are obtained if the charge of the MOyx- unit equals the number of terminal O-atoms (x = y). 2. Organotin substituted oxo anions with polymeric structures Polymeric compounds of the type (R3Sn)xMOy (R = Ph, Bz; M = P, Se, V, Mo) arise if the oxo anion contains extra donor functions. MOyx- anions, with y = x +1 or y = x +2 have one or two additional O atoms which allow a crosslinking to other Ph3Sn groups. However the steric demands of the organotin group must be considered because they can be the limiting factor in connection of units. 3. Cluster compounds Oxocluster compounds like [Pb6O4(μ3-OSnPh3)4] (1), [Co{Co(NSi2Me6)}2(μ-OSnPh3)4] (2) and [(PhSn)6(Ph3SnO)(OMe)9(VO3)2(VO4)2] (3) were also characterized. Compounds 1 and 2 are produced by the reaction of Ph3SnOH with Pb[N(SiMe3)2]2 and Co[N(Si(Me3)2]2. 1, as well as 2 reveal only terminal, tetrahedral coordinated Ph3SnO units which are in the case of 1 μ3-bridging and μ-bridging in 2. The vanadium compound 3, which is formed by the reaction of Ph3SnOH with OV(OnPr)3 has a comparatively complex arrangement. The core, consisting of four V atoms, is surrounded by two [(PhSn)3(OMe3)3O]4+ units in a sandwich like arrangement. These units are formed by three CSnO5 octahedra, connected along the edges and sharing one common O atom.
