dc.description.abstract | Using a functional analytic approach, we study various aspects of nonlinear, nonlocal Maxwell equations in matter, such as (local as well as global) well-posedness and exponential stability. The results obtained are applied in a case study with the goal to rigorously justify a slowly-varying amplitude approximation of surface wave packets at a flat interface between homogeneous and dispersive nonlinear media. | eng |
| ger |
