Kurzbeschreibung zur vierten Untersuchungswelle 1969/70 der BOLSA

Abstract

Die 4. Welle begann am 10. März 1969 und endete am 12. Juni 1970. Von den ursprünglich 221 Probanden nahmen 152 (86 Männer, 66 Frauen) an der Untersuchung teil. Die Zahl der Probanden nahm vor allem wegen krankheitsbedingter Absagen und Todesfälle aufgrund des mittlerweile hohen Alters der Probanden immer weiter ab. Der Tag der Anreise wurde nun schon traditionell für ein informelles Treffen zwischen Probanden und den Mitgliedern des Untersuchungsteams genutzt. Die Explorationen fokussierten sich immer mehr auf die aktuelle Lebenssituation (1. Exploration), sowie die nahe Vergangenheit (2. Exploration). Die Exploration zur Zukunft (3. Exploration) wurde zum Schluss der Untersuchung durchgeführt. Die vierte Welle ist durch einige Veränderungen charakterisiert. So wurden einige Tests der vorangegangenen drei Untersuchungswellen abgesetzt und dafür neue Untersuchungsverfahren in die Welle integriert. Bis auf wenige Ausnahmen wurden die Psychologischen Tests in dieser Welle nicht auf Tonbändern festgehalten, wohl aber die drei Explorationen.

The 4th wave began on 10 March 1969 and ended on 12 June 1970. 152 of the original 221 subjects (86 men, 66 women) took part in the study. The number of test persons decreased more and more, mainly because of cancellations due to illness and deaths due to the meanwhile high age of the test persons. The day of arrival was now traditionally used for an informal meeting between test persons and the members of the study team. The explorations increasingly focused on the current life situation (1st exploration), as well as the near past (2nd exploration). The exploration of the future (3rd exploration) was carried out at the end of the study. The fourth wave is characterized by some changes. Some of the tests of the previous three waves were discontinued and new investigation methods were integrated into the wave. With a few exceptions, the psychological tests in this wave were not recorded on tapes, but the three explorations were.
