Erklärvideos auf YouTube als multimodales Bildungsmedium : eine linguistische Untersuchung kommunikativer Potenziale

Abstract

Die qualitativ-explorative Untersuchung beschreibt Textstrukturen und -formulierungen in Erklärvideos sowie ihr inhärenten relevante Konstituenten. Ein Korpus aus schulisch einzuordnenden Erklärvideos wurde dazu transkribiert und mithilfe verschiedener multimodaler, text-, und medienlinguistischer Analyseansätze beschrieben und interpretiert. Dabei stehen insbesondere der Kontext der Videos, die Verteilung der Modalitäten, ihre Handlungs- und Gesamttextstruktur (insbesondere das multimodale Erklären bzw. die Themenentfaltung), ihre Intertextualität und die Interaktion im Textsortennetz im Fokus. Zudem zeigt die Arbeit verschiedene Potenziale von Erklärvideos auf. Das sind zum einen die Potenziale des Mediums selbst für Schulen, Lehrende und Lernende als Bildungsmedium, aber auch als Gegenstand der Medienbildung. Zum anderen sind das Potenziale für weitere primär linguistische und ebenfalls medienwissenschaftliche, pädagogische und didaktische Forschung.

The qualitative-explorative study describes text structures and formulations in explanatory videos as well as their inherent relevant constituents. A corpus of videos was transcribed and described and interpreted with the help of different multimodal, text- and media-linguistic methods of analysis. In particular, the context of the videos, the distribution of modalities, their narrative and textual structure (especially the multimodal explanation and the unfolding of topics), their intertextuality, and the interaction in the network of text types are in the focus of attention. In addition, the paper shows different potentials of explainer videos. On the one hand, these are the potentials of the medium itself for schools, teachers and learners as an educational medium, but also as a subject of media education. On the other hand, these are potentials for further primarily linguistic and also media-scientific, pedagogical and didactic research.
