Reasons for reforms to the WTO agreement on the implementation of article VI of GATT 1994 in the Doha Round negotiations : is there any way out of the Doha impasse?

Abstract

Seit den Verhandlungen der Doha-Runde im Jahr 2001 war das Antidumping-Abkommen (ADA) vermehrt Gegenstand von Diskussionen. Die Mitglieder der Welthandelsorganisation (WTO) erwarteten eine Reform des aktuellen ADA, doch nach intensiven Gesprächen herrscht immer noch Stillstand. Anstatt sich auf jede einzelne Regel zu konzentrieren, wählt diese Arbeit einen anderen Blickwinkel, um die Beweggründe der Mitglieder für eine Reform des ADA zu ermitteln.

During the Doha Round negotiations in 2001, the Anti-dumping Agreement (ADA) has received great concern. Members of the World Trade Organization (WTO) expected reform of the current ADA. After intense discussions, there is still a deadlock. Instead of focusing on every particular rule, this work chooses another angle on finding out the reasons of Members reforming ADA.
