dc.description.abstractDiese Doktorarbeit besteht aus mehreren Projekten, die die Rolle der Myocardin-ähnlichen Transkriptionsfaktoren (MRTFs) in kultivierten murinen Fibroblasten untersuchen. Die Ergebnisse dieser Studien zeigen zum ersten Mal die Verbindung zwischen MRTFs und der Regulation des Zellzyklus. Weiters werden die antiproliferatorischen Effekte von ektopisch exprimierten MRTFs analysiert, wobei zwei pro-apoptotische Gene, Bok und Noxa, als direkte Ziele von MRTF gefunden wurden.-
dc.description.abstractThe thesis is composed of several projects looking at the role of myocardin-related transcription factors (MRTFs) in cultured murine fibroblasts. Results of the studies included here show for the first time the connection between MRTFs and the regulation of cell cycle progression. Moreover, the anti-proliferative effects of MRTF's ectopic expression are analysed and two pro-apoptotic genes - Bok and Noxa - are established as direct MRTF targets.eng
