dc.description.abstract | The subject of this dissertation are implicit peer methods. Their consistency, convergence and linear stability properties are investigated. The methods are applied to semi-discretized partial differential equations. The large linear systems arising in the computational process are solved using the approximate matrix factorization (AMF) and also using Krylov subspace techniques (FOM). The peer methods have been implemented in Matlab with both linear solvers; they have been thoroughly tested and compared with standard time integration methods. | eng |
