Mechanical properties of styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) nanocomposites filled with different amounts of silica nanoparticles are investigated by dynamic shear measurements and solid state NMR. The aim is to understand the mechanical mechanisms on the nanoscale affecting the viscoelastic properties of silica-filled elastomers. The results are discussed in the framework of filler network effects and an immobilized polymer located close to filler surfaces.Hence it is conclude that the additive filler network contribution to the overall reinforcement (G‘p) of SBR nanocomposites at different temperatures and frequencies exhibits viscoelastic properties, as arising from the confined, immobilized polymer fraction.eng
