The purpose of this thesis is the study of nonlinear phase field models of Cahn-Hilliard type. In particular we investigate the non-isothermal Cahn-Hilliard equation with dynamic boundary conditions as well as a generalization of the Cahn-Hilliard equation, the so called Cahn-Hilliard-Gurtin system, which was proposed by M.E. Gurtin. In addition we investigate the quasilinear conserved Penrose-Fife equations. It is the objective to develop an Lp theory for the aforementioned models. In particular we prove the existence of strong solutions (in the sense of Lp), which exist globally in time. Therefor it is essential to prove maximal Lp regularity for the corresponding linearized problem. In case of the Penrose-Fife equations and the Cahn-Hilliard equation this is done by a reduction to some well-known problems, whereas in case of the Cahn-Hilliard-Gurtin system we first solve the linearized full space and half space problem. Applying the method of localization we obtain optimal Lp regularity for this system, too. With the help of the contraction mapping principle we obtain the existence of a local solution on a possibly small time interval as long as the nonlinearities are assumed to be Lipschitz continuous. For the proof of global existence w.r.t. time we make use of the Gagliardo-Nirenberg interpolation inequality and some a priori energy estimates in connection with some appropriate growth conditions on the nonlinearities. Furthermore we investigate the long time behavior of the solutions. The existence of a strict Lyapunov function and the property that the solution defines a global semiflow, ensure the validity of some wellknown results in the theory of dynamical systems. In general, the set of solutions of the corresponding stationary problem is not discrete. Actually it can be a continuum of solutions. In this case we need to apply the so called Lojasiewicz-Simon inequality to the Lyapunov function, in order to establish the proof of convergence.
